For some time now I've had a Westley Richards 1871 Martini Sporting rifle that I know relatively little about. It's in wonderful condition, it's engraved and even has Selous plates on the stock. I beleive it to be chambered for the .577-.450 MH cartridge. Are there any books that could give me a historical back ground on the rifle and it's design? It seems worthy of being shot. I even have a set of modern dies for that cartridge. What are the options for one that does not reload black powder? THank you, Paul Driscoll
