Some time ago I had a true left hand sxs 20 GA shotgun built by Verney Carron. It was dimensioned as a shotgun but I ordered a set of 303 British barrels for it. It's a two trigger gun that fires the left barrel from the front trigger. It also has a left opening top lever. So recently I bought another Verney Carron, this time a right handed double rifle in 375 H&H Flanged. When I placed the guns side by side I noticed they are on the same frame size. Out of curiosity I tried swapping the barrels between the two frames. To my great astonishment they will all interchange! I haven't fired the 375 on it's own frame yet, but I'm thinking that in the future I might have some great fun seeing what swapping frames does to regulation. I'm going to consult a gunsmith before going further. I'm speculating that reversing the order of firing will have some effect, but maybe not, as according to Graeme Wright. I'd love to hear speculation as to what might happen.
