Per the Alaskan State Trooper / Game Warden, the way I understood it, that anything that posed a threat was fair game, just skin it with head & claws on & bring it back. But depending on the region / area, 10 wolves and one Wolverine? But the Eskimos are for the most part subsistence hunters for Salmon(all varieties I guess) & Moose meat(& from what I saw they really needed it) so it is most difficult to prosecute them. I saw two kids in a boat going in & out from the bank in the Cattails and someone asked me, what are they doing. I said they are looking for Geese. Some time later the kids brought their boat ashore & the eldest kid, teenager??, had a Ruger 10-22 strapped to his back. I said Hey Chief, what were you hunting & he said Geese....

We had a 375 H&H Browning Bolt gun.
