rocky mtn bill Sidelock Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 2,023 Likes: 24 MT	Griffin and Howe used different kinds of wood. I had one of their stocks in curly maple. However, I think they tended to use Imported soft-shell walnut mostly. I don't think I ever saw a black walnut stock of theirs. Bill Ferguson
