I have bought several guns from the sales rack, outside the gun room proper. Best Buy was a Remington Moldel 12 in Remington Special which is just a renamed Winchester Special 22. It was mint condition and I ended up buying it for $100.00 because the salesman explained to me ammo was no longer made for it. He also mentioned that Remington was trying to cash in on the Winchester Model 12 fame in naming the gun. According to him ammo was last made before WWII. Did not bother to educate him that it was the same as Winchester Special or tell him I had almost a thousand rounds ammo for it at home. Sold both the gun and my remaining ammo a few years later for many times what I paid for them.
