Started opening day with a 'Text Alert' at 7:01 a.m. from the NWS - "FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for this area" and boy howdy was it! In and out of the field in the morning between downpours and thunder. I deer hunted once in thunder-snow but never purposely stayed in a cut corn field as the tallest thing in the field while holding a long metal object as lightning tore around. smirk I had supposed that given the lunacy of 2020 something just HAD to be different about opening day, so I ordered this Old Husky 310 from Simpson's as a rainy day gun. As you can see it did the trick, at 7:14 p.m., after everyone else had skedaddled, dove #15 came to hand. One long and memorable Dove Opener.
