I've seen sturgeon jump like that often up here in the Savannah River. I've had them jump right in front of my boat. Often wondered if I could avoid one that jumped immediately in front of me. No Asian carp yet, but I've almost been hit by them on Reelfoot.

Carp are small potatoes compared to a 6 or 7 ft. sturgeon.
