Friends, stop letting false guilt extort money from you--trillions of dollars in entitlements have more than made up reparations for those who chose to stay here. Nobody has a guilty conscience in South America! Move on.
No one in their right mind has any true guilt feelings about what occurred so many generations ago. None of us had any say so about the events of the 1700-1800s. Reparations for slavery is a fool's game. In a greater sense, the Democratic Party has enslaved the black race in America, and most of them (blacks) went along willingly. They were/are enslaved to free money, free health care, free food, free cell phones, free transportation, ad nauseam. It was begun by the Democrats, really getting rolling about the time of Lyndon Johnson's term in the Oval office, when he began his "Great Society", and was done not for the sake of equality, but for the sake of gaining power at the ballot box to keep Dems in office. Slavery, again .................. with a resulting loss of dignity.
Once again the words of Thomas Jefferson should be heeded ................ "When the people find they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic".
I have the greatest respect for minority individuals who have overcome the bondage of a fatherless home, not being taught a work ethic, and have somehow risen above the mantra that the government owes me a living, to support themselves and their families, and in many cases start their own successful businesses. Shame on those, by whatever name they 'e called, that seek to continue keeping them in bondage to the almighty dollar for the sake of increasing their own power base.
