Your FACTS are wrong Miller, and a stunning rationalization without biblical historical context, while ignoring the message of the entire New Testament (loving our neighbor as ourself - Mark 12:31).

1 Corinthians 7:17-24 is NOT a justification for slavery or trying to improve one's station in life. At least John Gill (and every commentator since) thought so

The presence of slavery in OT and NT times is not God's approval thereof, anymore than the polygamy (which was forbidden in 1 Timothy 3:12) or child marriage (also never expressly forbidden)

My denomination split over slavery, and has confessed and repented of that sin
