2: there is more than one word of god in this world...
just because judeo/christian scripture may not condemn slavery, does not make the practice any more or less evil and sinful...
god is in all men...in our minds and in our hearts...
if you look your fellow man in the eye and see pain and suffering...and you know that you are the source of that pain and suffering, then if you are a good man, you cannot just ignore it or even worse, rationalize the continuance of his misery, as a choice of the lesser of evils...
and "amistad" is a wonderfully entertaining movie...that is also thought provoking...
