My 314 (pictured), will not be in battery if the rising bite is not perfectly flush. My first outing with the gun was a pheasant hunt in Kansas. I was using some great reload recipes, but had got a little sloppy on some of the crimps. Dog and hunter had put in a lot a work on tracking down a lightly hit rooster, and I had the humiliation of watching him fly off while the gun went "click, click," light striking the primers.
