For our U.S. cousins. It is already in place in England and Wales for the shooting of Ducks and Geese anywhere. In Scotland it is for any quarry species over wetlands. And everywhere on any land subject to being a SSSI that is a Site of Special Scientific Interest usually land with rare or endangered species identified there.
It's good news as Bismuth and Tungsten shot here are very expensive and Steel, apart from not being very good, is unsuitable in the vast majority of English guns. Ironically a lot of the attempt to get a lead ban comes from the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust set up by the late Sir Peter Scott. He shot ducks and geese in numbers bordering on the obscene by today's standards. Over 100 White Front Geese in on morning flight!
