The last gun show I attended, and the only one in 15 years, was in Norcross GA a few weeks ago. 2000 tables supposedly, although I think it was short of that. There was one guy with a few worn A5s, another gentleman with a beat up Parker VH and a few coach guns. The rest of the tables were taken up by AR15 clones, polymer pistols and few old military bolt actions. Someone may have come in and made off with the good doubles before I got there, but I didn't see a single decent bird gun in the whole show.
I admire the kit, and I hope you have better luck than I did.
Ditto. These guys are going to different gun shows than I do. I'm lucky to find a single field grade Ithaca with an asking price of $1200.
Taking a kit like this to one of the big specialist gun stores, collection liquidations, or the Southern SxS Classic, on the other hand, would be well worth it.
