The front sling mounting and more so the way the front sight is mounted are suggestive of a 1930's custom build. It would be interesting if you removed looked at the stock in detail to see if there is a stock makers stamp anywhere as well as removing the butt plate looking for the same as suggested by skeettex.
It could be a Dunlap or even a remodelling by Howe. Really more data is required.
