I just came into a factory Obendorf mauser that has a few issues in the pitting department.
The barrel is an octogon to round with quite a bit of corrosion in a few locations and far deeper than what can simply be buffed out..
Although I haven't looked to see how much metal may need to be removed, I wanted to check out filling the pits if necessary as opposed to the alternative.
Any thoughts, ideas, or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tom
