Carder's 1994 book covers Forehand shotguns made under Hopkins and Allen management between 1902 and 1915. The 2000 revision expanded it from 40 to 81 pages and has better graphics.

The Forehand models are nicely rounded and carry well in the smaller gauges. Carder advises against shooting them much but I still scratch down a few quail with a 30" 16 gauge damascus Forehand double using appropriate low pressure loads. I'd like to find a 16 gauge ejector Forehand someday, but they seem to be scarce.
