Thanks GaryW for the response............Yes, as we returned from Viet Nam many pilots bought and had guns engraved/inlayed in Japan, including me.....the guns were well priced back then on base and the engraving was available everywhere near the air stations and bases and pretty good.......

We flew the aircraft off the carriers about 100 miles out direct to Atsugi Naval Air Station, Japan.... prior to the carriers entering Yokosuka Naval Base.........Both these bases had great Navy Exchange Stores and in those days they sold guns and everything else..........great how the world used to be........
