I think we, as Americans, can be proud of the arms that our government deemed fit to issue us when we served.I am totally in awe of the strength of the Krag that Michael tested.
Please remember that this was only one (1) krag and we should not read a lot into the test other than understanding how the rifle was designed.
I was also involved (an accomplice)to the testing to destruction of a 45-70 Trapdoor and I WILL NEVER PUBLISH THAT TEST! This was also a test of only one action and I could not believe what it took to destroy it.
