Probably a meaningless observation, but that is a different Laminated Steel pattern from the other 5 W & C Scott barrels (including hOjO's) at the end of this album

When our Brit buddies find the English Damascus Rosetta Stone, we'll know what they were called, and esp. which one is "English machine-forged 3 rod Laminated steel", winner of the 1891 Birmingham Proof House trial
