I'm sure anything you send will get well used and heavily read. The catalogs and books I brought or had sent on guns were pretty ragged by the time they made the rounds. Gun ownership and shooting are alive and well loved in the military. Gunsmith kinks series from Brownells were some of the most popular as most had never heard of them.
As advice, the US Mail has a "book box" that is a flat rate shipping no matter how full you stuff the box. My wife and family could fit some amazing stuff into them over the years.
