What is it with them beater for rainy day and thicket guns? What's the fun in having vintage Harley only to ride a Kawasaki, Honda,....? What are you saving them nice guns for? You know, after you go to the "happy" hunting grounds of Valhalla family members will bring them guns to local gun store,...... to get 50c/buck or less. You know local "Kroger" has: buffalo meat, rabbit meat, cornish hens......so your guns will be first things to be turned into cash.

Lads, better face up to reality. Unless you are wealthy, the affordable double gun will be made in Spain (high end of things) Turkey, or (like it or not) China. The labor intensive requirements of making a decent double are such that only countries with low wage scales and a supply of trainable workers will be able to make them. Were it not for the high-tech machines available today, even those countries would be hard strapped to produce an affordable gun. I stand by my unbiased opinion: the CZ Huglus are pretty well made guns with better guts than most of the cherished American entry level guns. Have a little of my crow dinner. Chopper

They want you to report back in a year on how you like it. Why one year, why not 4 or 5 years? Now I shoot a 20 ga. and a 28 ga. Bobwhites and have for 4 or 5 years, now they are not used for SC but hunting and pasture clays, each gun gets a flat or 2 through them a year at least and have not had one problem with either shotgun. Both shotguns preform well for the purposes I bought them for hunting and fun, what more could I ask?

What can I be prejudiced against now? You guys with your actual experience are ruining it. I need a new senseless bit of dislike to nurture.

When it comes to "tools", I have always been content to step up into the 20th century and use a pump. There were lots of them, and almost all of them said "Made in USA" on them. I still get all warm and fuzzy feeling when I see those words, don't you? I guess not. Best, Ted

Ted, do you get all warm and fuzzy when fondling a Mossberg pump with its birch stock, plastic trigger housing --- or an 870 with it's beer can stamping of a carrier --- or its spot-welded vent rib? Chops
