Gentlemens:

Attached are a few pictures of the stock Mr. Mann is working on for me. Mr. Hurst is scratching up the metal work as we speak, and the rifle should be going together soon...

As you speak is correct ol boy. I'm scratching up your lock plate today & hope to have it finished within a week. Which, will allow me pleanty of time to complete the bolino scenes & Eng. scroll on the receiver. Meerkats and warthogs --- can you guys believe it ? Thats what the scenes are going to be. Not my choice but will do the best I can for you Mr. glenn. Ken

That's a "WOW" piece of wood, for sure. I sure like that butt plate treatment.

Chief, Glenn and I like to have some fun yanking each others chain from time to time, so bear with me when I say that I had to change the "angle of the dangle" on the butt plate to fit Mr Fewless' sensitive nature. It did work out well however and should fit him very nicely now. Actually, it was my mistake so I fixed it.

There is a little story behind the butt plate in more ways than what appear on the outside. It's a "falsie" insert that Glenn make on his CNC mill and I final fitted. I used this same process on my Wesson and it works very well. The reasoning is that a person can add or remove weight as need for the rules and replace the plate. As crude as it sounds it's a 3 step process with Acraglas and in the end gives a very solid base for the plate and insert to rest on and it still looks nice.

The wood is a spectacular piece of black walnut, from Oregon I believe. The source will be nameless unless Glenn choses to tell.

It should be mentioned that Mr. Glenn makes these butt plates commercially for the trade & those interested. Ken

Mr. Hurst:

You wanted maybe to do the bunnies rabbit and a cute litte squirrel?

You betcha! A Warthog and a Meerkat. Trust me, it is going to be wonderful! Just you wait and see.

The pig goes on the hammer side...

Glenn

PS: I can release the info on the wood supplier if'n y'all wants to write me at gfewless@tds.net
