Hello , This is my first post here and I
Need some help on this double barrel shotgun guys ;; I took this shotgun in as part of a work trade and neither I nor a local gun store can tell me much about it .

It's 12 guage with no manufactures name,
Might be spanish ,,on the safety on top is the word .. Seguro
On the top between the barrels is stamped :: E E Eibar Elgueta
Some nice tooling on the gun , with birddog on each side
Anybody know anything about this one and value ????

Thanks for any info about this shotgun

Spanish made. Boxlock non-ejector design. Standard 12 bore barrels choked skeet1 - right and full - left. Appears to have typical Spanish proof marks. You should be able to date it from the proofs. Looks to have been proofed for European CIP standard loads; you will need to carefull select low pressure loads from local offerings as it may not be OK for a steady diet of typical American shells. A modest original quality gun with some issues. That broken wrist doesn't look too "sanitary" to me. There may be some oil soak issues with the stock head (at the junction to the action). What is that on the left barrel out at the muzzle? Pickin' nits, the recoil pad is not properly shaped.

Here are the Spanish date codes. If that E on the barrels is a date code, then the barrels were proofed in 1932.

Thanks for all the info about the shotgun .
Some of the proof marks on the chart did match up

From the info I got it seems to be from 1934
There is a crack on the stock that needs some attention
The barrel is in good shape / Must of been a leaf in the way of photo .
I know it needs to be cleaned up . Does anyone have any idea as to value on this .

Hi and welcome,
It's an inexpensive gun, maybe worth $200-300, at best, if it locks up tight. It looks like the stock has been broken clear through and poorly repaired, also a poor recoil pad installation.

Thanks for the input ...The action is tight and works well
The rest is true but the tooling work on the sides and bottom are still nice ..
I guess I didn't do to bad / He thru it in to sweet'en the deal on a work project I did for him ..
At least it will sell as a C+R when I unload it , Thanks again

If the stock repair is solid, this shotgun could be a good general purpose gun for you. Steel shot and similar hard shot should not be used though as it would be likely to do no good for the bores and chokes of this shotgun.
