Back when I was doing intelligence analysis, my one positive vibe for Qadhafi of Libya was that he never promoted himself beyond COL. In comparison, Idi Amin was a professor emeritus, president for life, field marshal . . .

PJ, I've enjoyed the time I've spent in Great Britain. However, I always thought the famous exchange between a Yank and a Brit in WWII is worth remembering:
The Brit said: "Problem with you Yanks is, you're overpaid, oversexed, and over here!"
To which the Yank replied: "Yeah, and you Limeys are underpaid, undersexed, and under Montgomery!"

A little hint about da stars. You fellers ever heard of averaging? Now I happen to know that ratings were averaged on the Deluxe version of this board (one before this one) because the average was given out to two decimal places below the stars in the member profile. I don't know that our current software supports such sophistication but I would guess that it does. If I happen to be right, every time you give a guy a star, you help lock him into a gentleman's D- (1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1/9=YEH THAT'S RIGHT: 1). So Jimmy, give your buds a break, and five stars! They'll go away fast enuf. I'm happy with my totally average gent's "C" but in case anyone feels the urge to bust me back, she should know that I have many friends and relatives who would be happy to register just for the sheer fun of playing Gimme 5. As the man said, "I am America and so can you.".

Greg, I never had a star while in uniform, so I don't much concern myself about them on the BB. Of course the star in uniform would have meant a bigger retirement check, which would mean more guns . . . maybe I should have put my paperwork in after all.
