The Baker name was not related to Ithaca at this era.

I have two versions of that same catalogue. One has the address P. Von FRANTZIUS, 608 Diversey Parkway, Chicago, Ill. along the bottom of the cover, and the other has Von LENGERKE & ANTOINE, 33 So. Wabash Avenue, Chicago, Ill. Both of mine have a 1923 testimonial letter reproduced on the inside of the back cover.

This catalogue has Baker Gun Co. and 253 Church Street, New York, on the front cover, the address of H&D Folsom after they moved from 314 Broadway?!?

Those catalogs were printed after the Folsom Co. bought the gunmaking business of Baker Gun and Forging Co. No NY addresses in real BGFCO guns.

Von LENGERKE & ANTOINE "the greatest sporting goods stores in the world." They were located in the heart of Chicago's downtown (the loop) business district. This was across from the old Marshall Field and up the street from the Hilton.

The 608 Diversey Parkway is north along the lake shore. Mr Frantzius became very famous at that address. He was known as Al Capone's armourer. He furnished Capone with Thompson submachine guns which fascinated Capone.

VL&A was the Chicago operation, VL&D was NY.
Same era.

Thanks Lee: Were they two branches of the same company?
