I removed the locks on my Adams .577 hammergun today. They are stamped with the letters "JG". Anyone know whom they might stand for? Also, does anyone know of a miracle that will allow me to see the sights the way I used to before getting older?

Thanks James. It looks like most likely James or Joseph Graninger.

I'm saving up for laser surgery!

(Hope I don't have to sell a double to afford it...!)

Marrakai,

Laser surgery is great, but I don't think it helps presbyobia at all.

In other words, if you are wearing bifocals and have laser surgery you will still need common drug store "reading glasses" to see close up. The surgery doesn't limber up the lens in your eye.

I had LASIK 5 or 6 years ago. It was probably the best money I ever spent on myself.

Mike,
Have you tried using adjustable aperture on your shooting glases? Surely prooved miracleous to my eyes - and scores - when aiming over open sights.

Thanks Jani. I just received a fixed aperture for my glasses. I thought I'd try the cheap one first and if it works I'd get the much more expensive one.
