I finally received my Ogris drilling today. Long story. Anyway, the rifle barrel was decativated in England by drilling 5 holes in it. See below. What's the best way to fix it? Tig the holes, bore it out and reline.
Bore it out, reline and then tig the holes.
Choice #3 ????

I would Tig the holes first, rebore and line it. If you line it and then tig, it will shrink the bore in the liner a small amount where the tig weld was. Also, it will take more heat to weld with the liner in place. Depending on the final liner wall thickness it may not be necesary to weld at all. Tom

Casper45, the 9.3 barrel needs replaceing. Relineing of a high pressure rifle barrel as thin as the rifle barrel on a drilling is not the best idea anyone has ever had!
I'd send the drilling to JJ Paradeau at http://www.champlinarms.com in Enid, Ok. he can cut the old barrel off just in front of the chamber, and counterbore it, and sleeve in a new barrel. Work on this type firearm is not cheap, but it isn't a saveings to do a plumber's job, and fix it half way! I don't know who made the drilling, or what kind of shape it is in! In the pictures the shot barrels seem to have lots of dents in them. This would indicate the gun has been abused some, and may not justify a proper fix! but if it is in good shape other than the damage some creten did to it's rifle barrel, it is worth spending some dollars to make it whole!
