So with regard to the Hart, what do you think was done to it after it left Hart Arms?
Don't know that anything was done to it due to the lack of pictures and poor quality of the ones we did have. I requested pictures of the engraving and did not get any response. It does look awful clean for an 80+ year old gun. The lack of sights is also suspect. Obviously the mount is a later addition. Rodgers was working in the post war era for a short while, but those guns would not be marked Hart Arms. Likely a nice rifle, but I did not feel comfortable with more than a very conservative bid.
