Before the current federal holiday is over may I quote the namesake and say "Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty we're free at last."
Y'all know what I mean. 😉 Stan, did you ''BACK'' the guy on the Parker gun collectors site that had a tread called ''Freedom Day'' ? Did you put a ''LIKE'' ? There were 388 views of Freedom Day at 10:30 Monday Night. and ONLY 10 LIKES. By Tuesday morning the tread ''Freedom Day'' was ''TAKEN DOWN'' and the guy who started it was ''BANNED FOR EVER''. By the way, I know a lot of Parker Members come on this site, I didn't see any of their names among the ''10 likes''

I don't recall if I did or not, dh. It may have gone up and been taken down between my visits there. Do you recall who started the thread? Was it Harry Geitler?
The admin on the Parker site have a very strict rule they adhere to pretty closely . . . . NO POLITICS. I am guilty of transgressing that statute at times, like when I am as jubilant as I am right now. But, the Parker site is predominantly a very civil forum.
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Prosperity creates a strange, self-destructive corrupting effect on people. If you live in a prosperous country, you learn self-loathing. Intellectualism, unmoors itself from reality and becomes stupidity. Progressivism may be the worst ism. It ignores the reality that almost everything can only progress to a certain point, after that you're regressing. Whatever else anyone wants to say about Trump, I think he understands that. Here is an interesting read from 60 years ago. God help us. https://www.wordandwork.org/2018/02/paul-harveys-if-i-were-the-devil-transcript-from-1965/I think Tim in PA mostly nailed it in his first post. However, not everyone who is blessed with prosperity becomes afflicted with self-loathing, stupidity, or Progressivism. So we need to look a bit closer to understand why over half the country were finally able and motivated enough to steer the ship to the Right far enough to elect Trump. It took a couple extra elements to transform the Democrat Party of 50 years ago into the sick and perverted thing that largely replaced it. Part of it is found in Tim's link from Paul Harvey. Much of the same can be found in the teachings of Obama's mentor Saul Aulinsky, in his book "Rules For Radicals. There was an element that was, and still is, playing the long game of taking over much of the Mainstream Media and academia. They knew there were enough stupid or mentally ill people that they could brainwash, beginning in kindergarten and elementary school, and continue all through school, college, and adulthood. They knew they don't even need to convince a majority, so long as there were enough of us on the other side who were lazy or apathetic... or sympathetic. Of course, they were very deceptive, such as when they claimed they only wanted equal rights for gay couples. But that quickly advanced to demands that we had to accept ever more perverted behaviors. So in a very short time, we had a takeover of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, transgenders grooming elementary school children, and perverted books advancing homosexuality in school libraries and classrooms. All of the pedophiles who visited Epstein Island are still free. Soon we also had DEI protecting perverted behavior in corporate America and the Government, and also promoting advancement based upon race, gender, non-genders, or sexual orientation instead of competency and ability. There was actual punishment or loss of employment for anyone who didn't accept the fact that perversion and mental illness will never be normal. Then it went further, to the point of forcing young girls to share locker rooms with biological males, and to compete with them in sports. Then it got to the point where these sick people demanded that taxpayers must pay for their gender mutilation surgery, and that minor age children could hide it from their own parents. Just think... the pendulum had to swing that far to the Left before enough people woke up and decided it was time to take back our country, and reject insanity. It also took finally noticing that every dollar we saved or earn has lost roughly 20-25% of its' value in 4 years, and we have been invaded by tens of millions of Illegal aliens. We are financing costly wars, and our Strategic Petroleum Reserve was looted to help Democrats get elected. Yet nearly half the country was dumb enough to want 4 more years of the same. The Left came very close to reaching a point where their indoctrination would be irreversible. They won't stop trying now, just because they suffered this setback. We have to stop the indoctrination of our children, and even adults who are too dumb to know better. We have to keep pushing for much greater Election Integrity, and understand there actually was enough widespread fraud to let Biden and his handlers take the White House. And we have to understand that it could easily take more than 4 years to undo the damage that's been done, so we need to start thinking about the 2026 and 2028 elections now... or it could all slide back down hill.
The"Big Tent" of Gun owners is a Big Fraud... to give cover to fools who vote for Anti-gunners.

There are many conservatives on the Parker site who make that very clear by their posts, and their posts are not deleted.
May God bless America and those who defend her.

I for one an quite happy with the outcome of the election. That is the extent of my political commentary.
what i am not happy about is the never-ending pissing matches here. I dont engage in them. There are several posters (posers) i would engage with if I wanted to go down those rabbit holes and go tit for tat over stupid $hit but I dont. Its called maturity. I have been on this site for quite a while. I don't post for periods of time because I have nothing of value to add to something being discussed and I don't want to be in the middle of some childish bickering of grown ass men. I have to put up with enough childish behavior with a wife of 45 years, so this should be an escape from that. And I do come here to learn. while flaming each other may feel good at the moment, it is a waste of time for those of us that have to wade through the BS to get to the heart of a posting. The key board commandoes always want to engage in big D!ck contests. To that I just want to say "grow the F up! its a friggin double gun site. You know, we talk about guns and hunting. Most of you who have axes to grind with each other will never ever see each other in person. So you grow a big pair sitting behind a keyboard and subject us (who want to learn more about double guns) to your petty feuds. Some of you remind me of those two old geezers on the Muppets who constantly argue with each other. Yes, we have free speech. And I have risked my life to defend it. And you can exercise your free speech and go on with your petty feuds. And I will sit back, ignore when I can those of you who have a terminal case of sand in your Mangina's and separate the petty BS from the knowledge that is often offered here.
PS: I wish dueling was still legal and all of you who engage in this behavior could meet and settle it once and for all. And it would cleanse the gene pool of half of the problem!

That is not my intent.

That is not my intent. As I plainly stated, and that should show no feathers ruffled. For that matter, why would you even think that? Considering I was making an observation, not grinding my own axe. you can tilt at all the windmills you like. as long as I can avoid the petty BS, I'm good. Otherwise, I just dont click on a thread. Simple as that.
