I have placed a ad for some Rigby 350 magnum ammo. Thought I would also bring it up here.
Bought a Rigby Mauser and got 5 boxes of ammo. The problem was it flanged ammo not rimless and of course a different design all together.
I have looked everywhere for ammo to no avail. I would like to buy or trade for some Rigby 350 Magnum rimless cartridges so I might shoot this rifle.
Any help is appreciated.
I have a mule deer tag coming up in November and would like to take a buck with the rifle if possible.
Please PM me if you can help.

Supposedly, the parent brass is 300 H&H.
Based on a conversion chart on the web.

One has to start with .450 Basic brass, .... no alternative according to my books.

I was fortunate to purchase 40 cases from a company in Australia. I should get them in about a week.
I now need to order a set of dies. I see that CH4D company sells a 2 piece set for a fair price, left a message and m awaiting a call back.
I was hoping to buy some old stock loaded ammo but I have had zero success. Now to start lining up some recipes for reloading, powder, and some 225 grain .358 bullets.
Thanks for all that responded.

Artic,
Did you check .404 Jeffery? The 404 is a 450-base cartridge without rim. The base diameter is about .544" which is a fair amount larger than the 350. The length is fine. This case would require some pretty severe swaging of the head. I believe a better case would be an H&H full length belted case, as suggested above. The belt diameter is about .532" and in front of the belt is about .511". The conversion would be a pretty simple lathe job to turn the belt to about .519", the rim to about .525" and possibly deepen the extractor groove to fit (if required). If these dimensions are found to work a special form tool can be ground to do the conversion with one operation and using appropriate stops the cases will all be the same. I suggest .375 H&H cases would be easier than 300 Mag to convert. The .511" ahead of the rim will expand upon firing. These cases are more available and would be cheaper than Bertram's.
Mike
