In the same auction where I purchased the Stopvis, I also purchased an antique .410 bore underlever for the simple reason I owned no kind of collector gun in that bore. It isn't in the best of condition and I suspect it is Belgian but haven't seen any markings. When it arrives I will have a better idea. It looks to have been of decent quality when made but appears to have been used during a long life. The confusing thing is that both the wedge (not uncommon) and the wedge side plates are missing. I have several spare sets and I am hoping a new set from Track of the Wolf made for a pistol will be close enought to reprofile and install.

My single barrel gun collection now only lacks a 28 bore to be complete from 8 gauge to .410. (I am not including the 14, 24 and 32 since finding a 28 is proving to be hard enough). I do have a 14 but that is a high grade percussion gun and I can't really count that,

I suspect 2" as well. The 2 1/2" didn't appear until around 1913. Some were chamber extended and re-proofed. I have two such examples. I should treat it as a 2" black powder gun until otherwise determined. Interesting gun none the less. Lagopus.....

I will measure the chamber and loSxxordingly if I shoot it. It is such a tiny gun that I likely won't do that except for testing. LOP , barrel and weight indicates it is a woman's or boy's gun. I bought it because it was engraved, the stock was very high quality wood and it had that ornate trugger guard that looks to be rosewoodor mahogany.
