Nobody. No bargains. You have got Arts, but he sends it out. Not sure about Midwest, I think they do in house. Basically the labor is the same whether they are doing a grade 1 or a midas grade. Somewhat. With the exception of the wood. Most are very backed up. A few others can do it but all the same.

Here's a wild-ass guess at what you're asking: Decent piece of American or better, English(French, Circassian,) - $700-$1000. Never skimp on wood when doing a restock. Stocking and checkering by a really capable wood man - $2000
Others here may have a better estimate. JR

It would be less money to find a Superposed with the wood you need all ready on it. That being said, this guy has done some work for me in the past: https://murraysgunstocks.com/home-about-usHe did a fantastic job. Well known for stocks on LC Smith guns. Best, Ted

If I were you, I would contact Wenig stocks and get some info on them. I talked with them a while back and if you send them your wood, they can recut you a new stock just like yours. And you can choose your piece of wood and the grade. There may be a wait, and I don't see any new wood being inexpensive anywhere. If you try to buy used wood on the internet you might get lucky, but you can ask- why is this person getting rid of this wood. Good luck.

Unless you are looking for a custom fitted stock, I would look on ebay and guns international for a used original Browning super stock. They seem to be out there fairly commonly.
Socialism is almost the worst.

We have one guy at our club who was taking a $2.00 2x4 from Home Depot and making butt stocks for model 12s. They shot just as good as the original ones. But boy they were ugly . 🤣

I have got a stick that needs a project. Unfortunately, just black walnut, so not really shotgun material for me. It is good to hear about some quality stockers that i might use when I finally decide on a project. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/eVduoR1.jpeg)

Fellows, Who could I send an old Superposed Browning 12 ga. to who could do a good job and not break the bank? Thanks, Sandlapper There are hundreds of them listed on the web: https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...posed-lightning-12g.cfm?gun_id=102719365Pick one that suits. $1500 wouldn’t buy a fitted blank of nice wood. Best, Ted
