I'm leaving for London and Paris tomorrow. I see several of the big British gun makers are in London do you guys have any recommendations as far as which ones would be great to visit while I'm there? Ones that may have good displays of older doubles, drillings and other awesome things.......Holand & Holand, Purdey, Rigby........
Thanks in advance for the tips. Eddie.

Add William Evans to your list, Westley Richards if you have the time to make it to Birmingham.

Not a great deal left in central London. I hear Holland and Holland now has just a room above the Beretta showrooms just up the road from William Evans in St. James’s.
William Evans also has showrooms at Bisley Camp, which also had Fultons (mainly rifles) and King’s Shilling Antiques.
If you have time to commute in Sussex there is J. Roberts and Son at West Chiltington, F.A. Anderson at East Grinstead.
In Kent Chris Potter Guns at Tunbridge Wells.
Use Google for directions, idea of stock carried and opening hours,

If you want gun overload a trip to Holt’s on a viewing day would be high up on my list.

Mayfair has every indulgence a man could possibly think of, and many he couldn’t.
I highly recommend a proper shave and haircut at Gentleman’s tonic A cigar from Davidoff. A martini at the Connaught Tea at any number of places.
The natural history museum gave definition to the word treasure.
Out there doing it best I can.
