I see on one of their latest posts on GI they are no longer offering a 3 day inspection. They stated that with all the pictures that they provide that should suffice
So you look, you buy, you own it. Period.
Stay well

I don’t blame them. Too many tire kickers who nitpick about nothing. A detailed and thorough phone conversation along with many detailed photos should be enough. Everyone else in the business has to decide their own policy. If it bites CSMC in the ass with customers, well… JR

I offer a 5 day shooting encouraged inspection period. It is absolutely no trouble to accommodate a remote buyer by providing an inspection period. Shameful really.

Online sales have changed the game wherein a buyer would walk-in, check the gun out in hand and walk out never to be seen again. Online gives the seller wider exposure and more opportunities to sell, and conversely, the buyer has more opportunities to find what he wants. Someone willing to send a $10,000 check to Galazan is a serious buyer and deserves more than Galazan is willing to do. I've only been burned one time on a lesser delight gun by a seller who operated by the Galazan rule. And the horses they rode in on... Gil

Gil- concur 100%. Of course, I have very little trust in this whole "on line sales" set-up. I much prefer a "face-to-face" transaction, but realize that is not always possible. Our local dealer is located out-of-town, and has both an indoor and outdoor range set up, so on any used gun you want to consider purchasing, you can test fire it. He'll get my business (he has the 12 ga. Remington 1900 I am thinking about buying. RWTF

Their descriptions and pics are hard to decipher. Both leave wiggle room for CSMC to say "I told you so". CSMC has been doing this for a long time, so they know exactly what they're up to. Check these out. Are they redone to "as new" or are they "original"? I'm guessing they're redone because the listing never says they're all original (and they look like all the other vintage guns CSMC is selling). https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...barrels-make-offer-.cfm?gun_id=102278056But it's easy to be taken advantage of if you don't know what to ask or how to read between the lines. Holland & Holland - Full Sidelock, SxS, Matched Pair, 12ga. 28" Chopper Lump Barrels. Single trigger, hand detachable, sidelock ejectors, made in the golden era of gun making, 1935. 28” chopper lump barrels, gold #1 & #2 on tubes, 2 ½” chambers, #1 choked IC/¼”, #2 choked ¼/½, automatic safety, rare single triggers, with rolled edged trigger guard, magnificently engraved with rose and scroll, perfect wood with original finish, perfect screws. The guns show very little use, proofed at 1 1/8oz, 14 ¾ LOP to a checkered butt, the guns look just as new with 100% case color, 100% barrel blue, and 100% wood finish, engraving is extra sharp, checkering is perfect, they have gorgeous French walnut stocks that have magnificent contrast of black deep mineral lines on a light background. These guns are indistinguishable of guns bought today, perhaps better due to being made in the golden era of gun making. The guns look as new and function that way. They are tight and crisp, straight stock, splinter forend, just a beautiful matched, lightweight, pre-war Holland & Hollands. Replacement of these guns would be close to $200,000. Come in their original double oak and leather gun case with accessories that is in exceptionally fine condition, with original owner’s name.

I'm pretty sure they will fudge on this policy if you're on their "A" list. I've done a lot of business with CSM and Lou Frutoso over the past 15-20 years and have nothing but good to say about the transactions. But I have to say the CSM guns I've owned have been hit and miss with function, yet they always made good on whatever the issue was. I like Lou and consider him a good friend, and greatly admire Tony Galazan and what he's done for the fine gun community. I was buying guns from Tony way before he ever formed CSM, and never had any complaints with anything I purchased.
The market will decide how this works out for CSM... JR

Any used gun should have at least a 3 day inspection return policy.
New guns are totally different. Order it and receive it you bought it.
With a fine gun on his arm, a man becomes a sporting gentleman, both on the field and off.

We are all experienced gun buyers. Just another reason to never buy a CSMC gun. poor qc, cs, intrinsic value and reputation.
As far as the G1 is concerned, view ports to oil? BFD. 6-9 grand. No thanks.
If you want to support an American company in the custom clay Target realm, see Kolar in racine wisconsin
Brilliant design, execution and the best customer service. A world apart from Galazan
Otherwise production new or used K80, perazzi, blaser all top tier with years of refinement, QC and CS would get my money and have.

I offer a 5 day shooting encouraged inspection period. It is absolutely no trouble to accommodate a remote buyer by providing an inspection period. Shameful really. I just purchased a gun from Jaqua's. They also offer 5 days with an OK to shoot the gun. I think that's good, but I still prefer face to face. Even with very good photos.
