I am doing a deep dive into Grandfathers WWI Service - and found a man he knew from Scobey Montana that apparently established a substantial collection of early American firearms, especially Winchester, and was an accomplished stock maker. I am curious if anyone has any insight into this collection or stocks from Fredrick Monroe Hanson (1888-1967) of Flaxville and Scobey, Montana. Believe most of the collection was sold after his death in 1967, although it may have been distributed among family members.
