Circle K has the same policy here as does Rite-Aid. The last time it happened to me the woman behind me in line expressed her shock. I'm prematurely gray, very few dark hairs left on my head. You would think buying a lighter would not be an issue but....

Anywhere there is a persistent problem with homemade drugs (meth), you will have issues with purchases of the ingredients or materials to cook them. Bulk purchases of cough medicines and decongestants, charcoal, propane in disposable containers, batteries and the other components got the stink eye, locally, but that has subsided a bit since the Chinese and Mexicans have taken over production and distribution, greatly aided by a nonexistent southern border. I suspect the fentanyl epidemic is impacting the meth epidemic by taking its victims right straight to Hell, instead of leaving empty shells of human beings, that require long term medical and psychological assistance the rest of their lives.
Fentanyl is killing more people in the course of a year than any other imaginary problem this administration can dream up.

Best,
Ted

Check to see if it may be a store policy or if an employee just made it up. I have seen the later happen before which is nuts to me.

I agree with most of this except for one thing...

Over 70,000 people died last year from fentanyl overdoses. Another 30,000 died from overdoses of other drugs. Similar numbers died the year before. A huge percentage of the illegal drugs came into this country across our virtually open southern border. The anti-gun Democrat Biden Administration is doing nothing to stop it. In fact, their policies have encouraged it. So I don't blame the fentanyl as much as I blame the Liberal Left Democrats who support it by turning a blind eye to the problem.

They are complicit in these deaths that are killing vast numbers of Americans between the ages of 16 and 45. Yet if only a handful of people are killed by some nutcase with a gun in a Mall shooting, these same Liberal Left Democrat phonies will wring their hands over the terrible loss of life, and move heaven and earth attempting to take away more of the gun rights of law abiding citizens.

The laws that require Mike to show photo I.D. to buy a lighter come from this same warped mentality. Too bad they don't feel the same about requiring a photo I.D. to vote. But if they did, we likely wouldn't have these problems.

A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.
