Ever look at a gun and just want to know why? Why did anybody do this to a decent gun? What purpose does this serve? And did he pay for that, do it himself or get it done for free? This is one. Why drill this hole, on a Winchester Model 21? But that hole is weird. And the tang inlet is just bad looking, but who notices with that hole? Any guesses why it is there?

Same seller so at least he did not do this to every 21 he owned.

He did crack the stock on the second gun and bend the tang on the trigger guard. Not listed in the description, when it was listed, but is slightly noted now. It is listed as having a splinter added to the left side. That splinter looks like a lot of accurglass trying to bridge a nasty break. Done by a beaver, in need of braces.

Oil hole. Add three drops each time before using.

May God bless America and those who defend her.

It was definitely secured to something, you can see the twist marks for mounting and unmounting.

Used to mount a Tactical light when not using his Red Dot Laser Sight.

The answer is obvious. He was concerned about the water table rising too high, and causing his shells to get wet and the barrels to get rusty. As someone who does some farming, you should be aware of the problems that seasonal high water table can create.

A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

Looks a tripod mount at the center weight point for a one armed bandit.
