Non-traditional set trigger from earlier in the thread:

"It is hard to see from the pictures, I have a similar set of triggers on a rifle from that period. Oddly enough, they don't function like
your classical set trigger, on my rifle the rear trigger has a crisp pull with no creep, pushing the front trigger forward turns the rear trigger into
what feels like a two-stage military type trigger.
"

I have the metal out of the stock and the design is unlike any I have seen before.
Will put it next to a couple of other double sets triggers I have on hand to show the differences, though they are very obvious.
Will have to remember what photo host I signed up for.

I have a comment but absolutely no help. I have seen a trigger like that advertised, but can't remember the name. I've given myself a headache trying to remember. If memory serves, I saw it in either a Brownell's catalog around 50years ago when they carried quite a few set triggers, or it was in a Shooter's Bible from the mid 50's. Sorry for no help but that might jog a memory for someone else.

AGS,

Your post leads me to a tangent. I had owned a couple of basic SxSs, but the one that led to my deep dive into shotguns and this website was purchased in Lexington.

The hotel had internet in 1997 or 1998 and the folks here said "Buy It".

Same basic principle as the Pacific triggers in my Krag.

(Smaller trigger is the "setting" trigger, larger trigger is pulled to fire it.)
