No medical issue but at 77 my left eye wants to take over dominance; dominance switching back and forth. Eye doctor fixed with a changed prescription that forces the right eye to be dominant.

Reading the accounts of vision problems here, I promise to quit whining. Although I have had PVT, floaters and cataracts (that insurance won’t cover yet) I can still shoot reasonably well. The floaters don’t bother me while shooting but driving, reading and watching TV is frustrating. I shoot best when grey sky’s are prevelant.

Yep, your procedure is the only one I'm aware of to correct contaminated vitreous humor in an eye. I'm please to hear it's holding up well for you.

I suspect that someday soon I'll be trying it too.

Can’t recommend it enough Lloyd. Surprisingly easy procedure. Find a good doctor. We have some in Abq. Absolutely no pain and floaters were gone immediately.

Spent my whole life right handed and right eyed.( All three of my children are right handed and left eye dominate.) Caught it early (age 4) with my son Ty and he has shot on his left shoulder since and is a much better shot than I ever dreamed. Had cateract issues several years ago and had great results with implant in right eye. Left eye was not such a clear cut case so continued to use contact in it. That aragement failed after about 4 years. Had left eye done but had to give up my “jeweler’s loup” nearsightedness that I was born with, 2/200 in both eyes. Since second surgery,my eyes tend to fight for dominance. Wing shooting has been a [censored - come on man!]. Currently using a 1/4 “ square of black tape on left lens of shooting glasses. Far from ideal but FINALLY showing some improvement. With practice, (need to be loading shells as 20’s are impossible to find but have a coffin full of the old AA’s in 12, 20 and especially 28’s.) I hope things will improve. Know it is a “privileged” problem compared to those y’all are facing. Just recently turned 65. Old age came as a shock, where did the years go? Have more guns than I can shoot and now have a number of good dove shooting opportunities, the likes of which have not been available to me in decades. Carpe diem!!!
(My father turned 97 on the 10th. Gave up driving up still lives alone and does his own cooking. Has already planned to deadhead on the Sea Dream, along with an old girlfriend, as it makes its semiannual migration across the Atlantic in April. Should have time left if I take better care of myself!)

Here are three that I own and shoot for fun mostly. Crossover stocks have a bit of different feel with recoil. I like the central vision gun the best, it is a under lever 3" Lang and am thinking about restocking it as my retirement gun. If I ever get to retire. The tang is not bent at all, so it wold just be a restock without needing to deal with a tang issue. The cross over guns do have bent tangs and restocking them in out of the question. The left shoulder had a nasty crack which I repaired and it has held up well for several hundred clay targets.
