I am not sure all that chicken scratching adornment is pre-WWII. But I could be easily mistaken.

I have no idea when that engraving was done but, it was done by a master. It does not have that bas relief, Germanic style to it, IMO.
Not all engraving can stand the scrutiny of magnification to the extent that gun can. Just superb.
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Jtplumb is correct that this O/U Krieghoff is more that just what meets the eye. ![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/57/c8/HlNYVANw_t.png) A selective Safety to switch between Automatic & Non. Have you seen such Stan?? Also, can you ID the single trigger type?? The adornment just maybe >>Jugendstil<< or Art Nouveau??? Serbus, Raimey rse

![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/9c/be/7CnPenlg_t.png) It is the switch / toggle on the triggerguard bow that has me puzzled. I am not much of a Single Trigger follower, so I really have no idea of its function. ![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/21/2d/5TBF8cOV_t.png) Any thoughts on the selective single trigger?(Joseph Kautzky or an early Miller??) There's a thread around here somewhere that several are ID'd and discussed. ![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/ae/33/5U5JhYjZ_t.png) Also, there's another Krieghoff / Remington(Maybe REMO) thread where a similar O/U is compared. This is a release for trigger group or drop lock. I have seen Krieghoff drillings with removable trigger group but was different design. It would be exciting to see a tru drop lock here, I know kettner sold a sxs drop lock. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/8DTUntU.jpg)

That is exactly what it is just like on the Krieghoff Primus Drieling. Sometimes one has to hold their teeth just right to slip it back into battery. Serbus,

With the top latch design that looked like a Westley Richards variant I was hoping for the mystical German drop lock?

Mariner Browning had a single trigger that looked like this one from the outside, I mean exactly like this. I wonder where he might have found that design after seeing this one.

I’m sure it’s a trigger plate blitz action with it being o/u it would have to be something nobody has seen before.

I do wonder if the Single Selective trigger was sourced from the U.S. of A.??

I believe the trigger is original equipment. The trigger guard is sized for a single trigger, not double triggers. Now, back to the discussion about the engraving.

The reason for safety and trigger questions were the oddness of having a selector on the trigger plate and on the safety. See pics. What the heck is going on with the selector on the safety( if that’s what it is)?

It is a selector for automatic & non automatic safety. The owner confirmed this??

Thanks. Sorry I missed that, I have never seen one with that option. Special gun.

![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/25/79/7rul9eH1_t.jpg) The rib on the additional tubeset looks to resemble a rollercoaster? This gun was made more than likely for export to the U.S. of A. ![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/ad/90/fvOYvYDj_t.jpg) ![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/46/ff/ThMoPwe3_t.jpg) Wolfgang will have to drum up the name for this adornment / engraving? ![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/b1/5d/zUxJjF5B_t.jpg) Was the adornment added before the tubeset was fitted to the action? Serbus, Raimey rse
