I think most would agree, B&P Comp1/ 7/8oz. I believe 1160 FPS. I also like and use Clever shells; you can find them around the same FPS loads in 7/8oz. I shoot them both in my Purdey and Boss, no issues

I think the Winchester AA Xtra-lite Target loads were tested in they were less then 9K, 1180 FPS. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2900171346I found this on the forum from a few years ago: AAHS Xtra-Lite Target 1 oz. AAL12 - 1,180 fps - 8,760 psi

AAL12 - 1,180 fps - 8,760 psi Remember as has been stated before in a previous thread, commercial loads can switch up components such as powders from year to year to keep the same fps performance but not necessarily the same pressure. This maybe why Precision no longer will test factory loads as this exclusion from testing would eliminate a potential controversy of someone relying on last year's testing only to discover that this year's shells were too hot for the intended gun. As long as a 12 ga. 2.75" shell is not specified to be low pressure, it can go up the SAAMI max of 11,500. I am not familiar with the lite load above and don't know if it is advertised as "low pressure". RST and Polywad were specified to be "low pressure" and they were. Gil

you tellin us that winchesters light loads could go from 8,760 up to 11,500 psl?
if so ,recoil in a 7 pound skeet gun would hurt like hell, and make one wonder if winchester ammo has quality control issues...

Gee, that would be great The problem is that the data could well be inaccurate tomorrow as the makers change components. And the U.S. makers decline to share the infro. But ed will ask again in a few weeks SAAMI rulesLoad weight variations can range from +4% to -7% in game loads and +3% to -5% in target loads; about +/- 1/8 oz. of variation allowed per shell. Pellet counts per ounce can vary by +/- 10% for both game and target loads. Load velocity can vary by +/- 90 fps for both game and target loads. Load pressure - only specifies maximum average pressure for 2 3/4" and 3” shotgun shells will be 11,500 PSI +/- 900 psi, with some maximum extreme variability not to exceed an uber-max of 12,500 psi +/-900 psi It MIGHT be assumed that loads in general do not vary more than 900 psi, and for low pressure loads likely less

The European makers mostly report speed and fps. Be cautious as several have 7/8 oz. load with International Skeet and Trap fps Rio Star Team EVO 12 Gauge 2.75" 7/8 oz is 1340 fps https://www.ammunitiondepot.com/stt2475-rio-star-team-evo-12-gauge-2-75-7-8-oz-7-5-shot.htmlSo for the non-deep thinkin' amongst us, if we're trying to lower recoil or use 2 3/4" shells in short chambers - find a 7/8 oz. load at 1200 fps or less and stop worrying IMHO if your gun can't handle 10,000 psi you probably shouldn't be using it, or should be reloading.
