Much to my great surprise, this gun has bushed 2-piece firing pins- and the bushings are threaded in from behind the receiver- it needs a new bolt locking spring, which I have on order from Numbnutz in Kingston Trio, NY--good place to buy older gun parts, not so good if you have parts for sale-such is life.

Ellyjonezz,
While selling old parts to help the widows of a couple old gunsmith friends, I had to listen to the excuse for low price offers from more than one dealer. It seems they think it is pretty costly to identify individual parts, store them for many years until someone finally needs one, then locate it and mail it out to the customer. Also, many times a particular part will fail on all of a particular model gun, leaving the parts dealer with no inventory of the required part and piles of parts that are never likely to be sold. Often, just the postage is more than the customer wants to pay for a part. It didn't take long to disabuse me of the Idea of going into the gun parts business.

Knew a fellow who did dabble in used parts, but not for guns. Told me he had a customer complain that several of the parts he sold them broke or fail shortly after installation. Trying to do the right thing, he asked the seller to return the part. The after he got them asked the customer to take a picture of the original broken or failed part. The customer could not do it. Later the customer admitted that the part was not broken after all just looking for a free part and being a bit of a dirt bag. Customer had to admit his "mistake" because the seller was going to a show where the broken item was going to be in plain view. As a end result the seller put him on a list of people he would not deal with and a couple other parts dealers did the same. Hard to find parts for your 75 year old tractor when all the parts sellers and junkyards tell you to pound sand.
