Always delighted to have the info Hause as I am sure they were using similar, if not the same pulver.

But the marks which we are discussing are voluntary proofmarks that are above & beyond the provisional proof and warranted an additional fee. These voluntary marks note an proof effort that was an attempt to stay abreast with the changing times as it was difficult to make changes in the proof rules often.

How long were the shotgun load specifications marked on German guns Raimey? Post-WWI?
I understand metallic cartridge loadings, and barrel regulation, are a different issue.

It was only from the mid 1890s till 1911/1912 when the rules were changed to accommodate semi-smokeless powders.
