Why on earth should a Field Grade L.C. Smith .410-bore be worth $5 to $10 grand? There were more of them made than all grades of Parker Bros. and Ithaca NID .410-bores combined. And, the L.C. Smith is well known as the poorest designed American classic double.

seaecher, at this time i do not know the grade nor condition of this lc smith...plus, in this competitive environment, (me versus the son), better to sell high than low...if i were to low ball the widder an say watt you said, she would probably tell me to "git lost"...

or more likely, she would ignore me, an consign this rare gun and possibly other fine guns to vaccum cleaner like firearms consignment auction...
