The Super Fixxe Charlin, is indeed a sliding breech gun. It is kind to say, “almost as ugly”, but might not be accurate. Probably the only nice thing one can say about the Charlin version is no Darnes were harmed in producing this gun.

The phrase "looks like death eating a cracker" comes to mind when I look at either, or both, gun(s).
