Is there a book specifically about the gunmaker Beesley or his firm?

There used to be a Beesly X'sput that frequented these halls known as Lowell Glenthorn.

I sure miss Lowel I hope all is well with him....

Lowell was before the thread locking and thread deleting before the Socialst whiners took this sight over.

Long before the ghost of O'Rielly reared his ugly head....

There is a chapter on Beesley in the Atkin, Grant, and Lang book by Dallas.

I know a onetime contributor to this forum and a colleague are slowly writing a book on Beesley and his guns.

I am especially interested in the 15 and 20 round magazines they made for the .45 Colt Government Model pistol. The 20 round magazines were purchased in 1916 by the Admiralty for use by the Air Service, along with 57 Colt Government Model pistols from the trade.

The magazines were also sold commercially. Unfortunately, nothing is noted about these in the Beesley registers.

Regards

AlanD
