Putting a Pachmyer pad on a period gun should get you an open-handed slap. But picture 34 requires capital punishment.

Poetic justice would be death by firing squad...lead by the poor abused girl who suffered the offense.

Nice gun. Nasty pad. I've always wanted a 16 ga CE Fox.

It is horrid, but nothing that can't be easily corrected, if the wood wasn't significantly shortened. Not nearly as egregious as cutting off barrels.

That is awful. I believe the only time a recoil pad should be added is if the stock was shortened. I have added wood to a few stocks because I didn't want a recoil pad.
The next owner can do what they want. I attached them with screws only.

That wood looks (hopefully) uncut. Or at least reasonable.

Those could be original length barrels. They don't always touch on a Fox. That said I'd be pulling an order card on it before plucking down my money. Pad can be changed. Nice pictures but lousy description. LOP should be provided as well as DAH etc. Pretty hard to find gun with the K trigger and overall very nice condition. No doubt original wood. LOP will always appear to be super short with the K trigger in the rear position. That often throws folks off. I suspect LOP probably will show as being in the 13" range, which in reality the same as 14" LOP with the normal double trigger.

I don't like single triggers in the rear position. I've got one in that position, a HOT on a 16 ga. Smith, and I've never gotten used to the feel. IMO, they should always be in the middle, like most other single trigger guns.

I'll bet those are uncut barrels. I could tell in a few seconds, with probably 90% certainty, with a bore gauge, by checking to see how the chokes are cut.

Did Fox use filler keels in the wedge area under the top rib? I would think they would have on a C grade. I only have owned a couple of Fox guns, which are long gone and have none to compare.
