Only pictures. I get that people like unusual stuff, but, for my own use, that would be too weird.
I like regular (HA!) Darne guns, as, they work well for me. Or, did, prior to my shooting eye issues, which, are ongoing.

I think that same gun has made an appearance here, before today. I would think it might be faster than a muzzle loader, but, maybe not by much.

I've found this but not sure that it's a match. Old ad and not very easy to see. Manufacturer is Brun-Latrige and it is model 1910. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Brun-Latrige-Paris-Liege-1902-Gun-Catalog-/370791492455

Verney Carron built a single shot gun with a sliding breech, called a Stop-Vis, IIRC. The breech was released by squeezing two locks together, between thumb and finger, allowing it to unlock, and slide back.
Out of all the weird patents and copies, that one seemed most useful, and usable, to me.
