Has anyone here ever tried the B & P game loads in .410 ga., 3/4 oz., at 1125 fps?

I have had great success with the Winchester 3/4 oz. loading, at 1100 fps, but never tried the B & Ps.

Everything is out of stock it seems. I'm trying to expand my search criteria if possible.

B&P sold out, I believe to Fiocchi. Things are up in the air right now. Hard to get B&P right now, sadly. frown

Thanks, buzz. Hard to get any of them. The WW loads are backordered, too. I'm on the waiting list at Hinterland and Able.

I'm finishing up a handload with a little over 11/16 oz. of nickel plated 8s. It ought to be a super dove load, but the old WW 3/4 oz. loading is what it's got to beat. It patterns beautifully in my guns, despite all the naysayer arguments that it shouldn't.

Thanks.

Full of corporate buzz words.

The consumer takes another hit.

Thanks, for the link Replacement.

I've never been much of a fan of the B & P 12 ga. shells. Years ago I tried them in a Beretta 682 and the heads would slip under the ejectors occasionally, which is very frustrating when shooting a round of clays. A few years ago I ordered two flats of the low pressure Comp Ones. They fail to fire a high percentage of the time due to light primer strikes. They do it in every gun I ever tried them in, even my Perazzi. The problem is different rim dimensions that allow the shell to sit deeper in the chamber creating excess headspace, and light primer strikes. I've still got most of those two flats.

I am in hopes that they will keep the 3/4 oz. .410 loads available, though. I'd like to try them, but I won't order two flats without trying a box first.

I've never bought a single B&P.

The world does not need a 'designer' shotshell.

They're in the buckets at the clubs though so somebody is paying the price for this stuff.

I'm all for competition and the loss of any vendor through 'merger' (which means a buyout to eliminate a competitor) is a loss of choice no matter how pointless the choice appears to some (me, in particular).

I like Fiocchi products in general and hope they continue to be an option in the marketplace.

Not necessarily. Who said B & P are "lost"?

How is it a loss of choice if Fiocchi retains the B & P line, and the prices aren't jacked up? I haven't seen any negative fallout since Beretta bought Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger, Uberti, Sako, and Tikka. Was that not mergers? All the lines are still in place, quality has not suffered, and prices have not escalated as a result. I strongly disagree with your premise, as a blanket statement. If there are only two companies producing something and one buys the other it's a problem. But, in a healthy industry like ammunition, not necessarily.

Free enterprise works, and beats the h--- out of socialism. Buying competitors is just a part of that capitalism that we value so much .......... well, many of us anyway.

They won't be competing with themselves Stan.

A vendor IS lost, the front offices will be consolodated, one group of people will be making decisions not two independent groups.

You will be buying from one entity when you choose either brand as long as the absorbed brand is allowed to exist.

Forced choice is no choce at all.

If the industry was in fact healthy B&P would not have been sold.

So, how did that all work out with Beretta, et al?

And, what does it matter if Fiocchi owns B & P if they continue to offer what the consumer wants at a competitive price?

What's your idea for a better system? Government control of who buys who?
