Ricard was Johans uncle. Johan and I communicated when I had the gun, and he confirmed this.

Must have been a flurry of bidding in the final hours as it looks to have sold @ $8k U.S. of A. plus fees?

Well, I haven't gotten to the crux of the matter, but Ricard/Richard is NOT Johann's Uncle. Working on the particulars but Ricard/Richard may have been a long lost cousin of Johann's Father?

Rainey, I could be recollecting incorrectly - seems to happen more often with age. I communicated with Johan back in 2005 or 2006 about a Ricard Fanzoj I had in the Sidney, NE Cabelas Gun Library. Id have sworn that he identified Ricard as an uncle. I kept those emails in my files at Cabelas, but I left there rather abruptly and had no opportunity to retrieve lots of interesting information. I have no question that Johan identified Ricard as a relative and was familiar with him.

Bryant: I am working on the details seeing I well know Johann's kids & speak with them often. Neither had any knowledge of Ricard/Richard but they are working on the relationship.

Still diggin', but seems that Richard Fanzoi's family was from lower Ferlach. He was something like a 2nd cousin to Johann and both Richard and Richard's father expired in the 1960s?
More later.

Richard Fanzoi (born 1934) was son of Josef Fanzoi (b. 1894). They were from Medborovnica/Unterferlach, now integrated into Ferlach. The son died in the 1960s while the father followed him in the early 1970s. Cheers, Jani
